References:

From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1948: MARY S. DEBAILLON This is so large and of such an entrancing color that everyone is thrilled when they come upon it. Often as many as three 7-inch rosy lavender and orchid-pink flowers with their broad yellow crests, are out at one time, and when a large clump is in bloom, it is something one does not forget. 3 feet. $5.00.
From Sidney Conger Louisiana Iris catalog, 1952: MARY SWORDS DEBAILLON (Debaillon-Dormon). This huge 7" flower is one of our most spectacular. Is slightly bitone with lavender-rose sepals and orchid-pink petals. Its signal patch is broad and yellow. Has proved an excellent parent. $.75.
