Standards light lavender, burgundy veining, darker centerline; style arms light burgundy; Falls burgundy, veined darker, large yellow signal. Parentage unknown. Shepard Iris 1999. Honorable Mention 2002.

From Shepard Iris Garden catalog, 1999: NAVAJO PRINCESS (Shepard '99) LA-35"-ML. This bloom is large with all petals very wide. The form is flat allowing the beauty of the colors to be seen. The standards are light lavender with darker burgundy veins and a center line of burgundy. The falls are a burgundy wine with darker burgundy veins through out. A hint of the light lavender edges each petal. A large bright golden yellow signal radiates in a saw-tooth edge. The stylearms are burgundy ending in a laced lavender. We lost track of the parentage, but it was too pretty to toss. $30.00.
