'Rhumba' ( Mrs. Claude Shehee/ Caroline Dormon, R. 1948) LA. Color Class-R1M. Collected near New Orleans, La. by Mrs. Shehee. APP MSDLIS. Recorded as Vinie in 49 Checklist; Class renamed Louisiana Iris.

From Milliken Gardens catalog, 1952: RHUMBA This is one of the best garden iris in the Louisiana group. The very showy 7-inch flowers are beautiful orchid. $1.00.
From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1955: RHUMBA. Each 1.00. Deep cream heavily veined orchid. Huge 7 inch flowers and one of the most satisfactory garden varieties.
