'Wherryana' (
John Kunkel Small, R. 1931). Vinic; Color Class-S3L; Standards spathulate, shorter than falls, short haft, greenish at base, suffused pale reddish-purple above, the blade pale violet, darker lined. Falls 9-10 cm. long, the haft suffused green, blade ovate, pale violet, crest orange-yellow surrounded with pale yellow paling to whitish-yellow zone and lavender where it merges with the blade coloring, all veined reddish-violet. Style branches pale violet, wings margined lavender-pink. [Collected Louisiana Iris].
