Hybridizer Fred Burr (1911 - 2006)

Born in Middlesex County, Ontario, Burr had a 34 year career as a high school teacher teaching Latin and Greek. With his wife Dorothy, they raised a son, David, and two daughters, Sheila and Maureen. He was an Ontario MPP from 1967 to 1977.
