Botanical author: Daniels, Francis Potter, 1869-1947: PhD from the University of Missouri, Professor of Romance Languages at Wabash and Georgia State Colleges, botanist. Spent one (or several) summers teaching at the University of Colorado and collected extensively and successfully for the University of Missouri, publishing in 1911 with respected scientist T. D. Cockerell, "Flora of Boulder, Colorado, and Vicinity." Was Assistant Curator of the National Herbarium for a short time. Chamerion danielsii (now Chamerion angustifolium subspecies circumvagum
