France - Orléans (Loiret)
Denis-Germain Dauvesse (1809-1870) worked at Transon-Gombault nurseries before acquiring them. President of Orléans horticultural labor union. D. Dauvesse & Cie was specialized in fruit trees, rosebushes, conifers and perennials. His son Paul succeeded him. 1894: Albert Barbier (who worked at Dauvesse & Cie) acquired nurseries and founded with his sons : Barbier & Cie.
