Hybridizer William Hill Dunman (1872-1960)

Lincoln, Nebraska, USA

Landscape gardener, College of Agriculture, Experiment Station, the University of Nebraska, Iris breeder.¹ William Dunman, was an active member of the Garden Club of Lincoln. An Englishman, he gardened at Sandringham Palace and was a graduate from Kew Gardens. He came to the University's College of Agriculture in 1909. William was also an avid bowler and grew roses.²
