Hybridizer Augustin Abel Hector Léveillé (1864-1918)

France - Le Mans (Sarthe)

Also known as Monseigneur Hector Léveillé. Botanist and Clegyman (Prelate of the Pontifical household), he was professor of natural history at the College of Pondicherry and traveled to India (1887-1891). He founded the magazine Le Monde des Plantes (1892), the Académie internationale de géographie botanique. Was member of Accademia Pontificia dei Nuovi Lincei
