Hybridizer Louis Joseph Ghislain Parmentier (1782-1847)
Belgium - Enghien Louis Parmentier is known to have created a garden over 3000 varieties of roses at Enghien, and created more than 800 varieties, making it both one of the largest collectors in Europe, and one of the most prolific roses breeders.
