Hybridizer Richard (Rick) Tasco

Richard Tasco has won two Dykes Awards; for 'Splashacata in 2005, and 'Golden Panther' in 2009. Both of these irises also won Wister Medals for best Tall Bearded, in 2004 and 2006 respectively. He also won the Wister Medal for 'Absolute Treasure' in 2013, 'Black Magic Woman' in 2014, 'Temporal Anomaly', in 2015, and 'Autumn Explosion', in 2019. He has won White Medal for the AB : 'Chocolate Mint' in 2004, 'Noble Warrior' in 2012, and 'Sand Dancer' in 2017. He has won Knowlton Medal for the BB : 'Sheer Excitement' in 2018.

Rick was honored by the American Iris Society with the Hybridizer Award in 2010.
