Section Hexapogon (Bunge) Baker
A Section in the Subgenus Iris. The name means six beards and it is probably allied to the Section Regelia which also has beards on the standards and the falls. It has but two species Iris falcifolia and Iris longiscapa. Although said to be wide ranging these species are still unknown in gardens.-- Main.RPries - 2010-02-03
