related links... Botanical Classification This is a Subgenus in the Genus Iris . The plants are characterized by a small growing tip atop long tap roots, and crested flowers which provides some confusion with the Section Lophiris. The British Iris Society Species Guide includes the following species Iris barbatula , Iris collettii , Iris decora , Iris leptophylla???, Iris staintonii .
