Discussion - Virtual Iris Shows

Iris shows are an important activity of many clubs that the pandemic has thwarted. Virtual iris shows have been used as an alternative (2020 list of virtual iris shows). This page is a place for discussion of virtual iris shows. What are the challenges and opportunities with them? How might they be held and improved? Please add your questions, comments, and topics that should be considered below. You are welcome to use the comment box at the end or to edit this page. Thank you for your help!

Iris shows have long been held by iris clubs and supported by the American Iris Society. These have been physical shows with the iris entries, judges, and public audience gathered at a specific location and time. Changes in both technology and circumstances have led to virtual iris shows. These typically have had no combination of these components together.

You are also welcome to send your suggestions, questions, and comments to Wayne Messer - Exhibition Show Reports - wrmesser@gmail.com . Thank you.
