Dwarf Bearded Section (DB)

This classification was used in the 1939 Checklist and since then Dwarf Irises have been divided into MDBs (Miniature Dwarf Irises) and SDBs (Standard Dwarf Irises). The 39 checklist defined DB as "Species, forms and hybrids of Iris pumila, chamaeiris, aphylla, and other dwarf species. Bearded Irises up to and including seventeen inches in height"
