International, National, & Regional Flower Shows

March is often the time of year for those large floral display shows that welcome spring. Those shows are always fun to visit whether it be the mother of them all, the Chelsea Flower Show, or just a city’s Home and Garden Show. They can also be fun to have an exhibit in them. Does your local AIS affiliate have a booth? How about the other Iris Societies! How does the British Iris Society participate in RHS events? Send your photos and comments to bobpries3@gmail.com and I will create galleries for each event so that the world can share in the excitement and beauty.

Ideas and Materials for booths: The AIS has two screens that can be used for the cost of transport. For smaller shows even simple posterboard trifolds can make a display. Let us see your ideas. Let’s promote irises!

Prepare for next year: What you missed the entry deadline! It is not too late to plan for next year. Sometimes there are fees for having a booth. Do not let that stop you. We can help you find grants to cover them!
