---++ Virtual Iris Shows 2020

Most of the [[InfoShowCalendarByDate2020][2020 iris shows approved by the American Iris Society]] are being cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Several of the clubs are opting to replace them with virtual iris shows. This page is for sharing these shows so others can participate and/or enjoy them.

Note that virtual shows are currently not eligible for AIS medals and ribbons. However, club ribbons can be awarded.

Some clubs are following the [[VirtualIrisShow2014][2014 Virtual International Iris Show]] model.
---+++ Mt Diablo Iris Society 2020 Virtual Show

The Mt Diablo Iris Society has modeled their show on the 2014 Virtual Iris Show. Anyone may enter from *April 1 to July 1, 2020*. The first step is to obtain an *Entry Number* by emailing [[mailto:MtDiabloIris@gmail.com][MtDiabloIris@gmail.com]] . ---+++ Fredericksburg Area Iris Society Virtual Show and Garden Tour

The Fredericksburg Area Iris Society is offering an unjudged virtual show and garden tour on two different social media sites, Facebook and !PlantsMap.

We recently got a FAIS Facebook page. The show and garden tour there consists of FAIS members posting photos of their gardens and irises as they bloom.

The *PlantsMap* page is a little more organized/structured. We send our garden and iris photos to our !PlantsMap guru and she posts the photos. The cover page has garden shots in the "Photos" tab. The iris photos are found under the "Plants" tab. Under the "Subcollections" tab the photos are grouped by garden with the garden shots under the "Photos" tab and individual irises in that garden under the "Plants" tab. So far six gardens have sent in photos, but we hope more members will start participating.

We attracted a good number of entries across 3 classes, Bearded, Beardless and Species, and you can download the results and browse all the entries on this page which has now been made public.
