POSITION TITLE: Scientific Advisory Committee Chair received 11-5-2015
BASIC FUNCTION: To chair the Scientific Advisory Committee REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: To the Presidents and Boards of Directors of AIS and the AIS Foundation as appropriate. MAJOR FUNCTIONS-
To provide scientific advice on issues referred to the Committee by the Presidents of AIS and the AIS Foundation.

To make these persons aware of any scientific issues that might affect the well-being or advance the objectives of these organizations.

Review scientific proposals submitted to the AIS Foundation for funding

Encourage the dissemination of the results of these studies

Provide scientific input to either AIS or the AIS Foundation upon request.

Activities are irregular in nature, so on recurring timelines are established beyond reasonable timeliness in providing the inputs requested.
