POSITION TITLE: 501(c)3 Tax-Exempt Advisor received 11-5-2015

BASIC FUNCTION:

  • Authorized by the Board of Directors of The American Iris Society to serve as a coordinator and advisor to associated groups of the American Iris Society seeking to obtain or to comply with U.S. tax requirements and regulations as they pertain to tax-exempt status for organizations.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • He/she is appointed by the AIS President and responsible to the Board
    of Directors.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

  • To serve as a coordinator and advisor to associated groups of the American Iris Society seeking to obtain or to comply with U.S. tax requirements and regulations as they pertain to tax-exempt status for organizations.

TIMETABLE FOR ACCOMPLISHING SPECIFIC TASKS:
  • As needed, generally on a yearly basis.
