■(MDB) 'Azurea'

1881, unknown

'Azurea' (Origin unknown). DB, height 5" (13 cm). Very early bloom. Slightly grayed light blue bitone; creamy white beards; obvious stems. Probable natural hybrid between I. lutescens and I. pumila . High Commendation (Royal Horticultural Society) 1927.

Note: Listed in A.I.S. 1939 check list with the synonym 'Pumila Azurea'. First listed by Clibran (England) 1881.
