(MDB) 'Baby Jewel'

1971, Brown

'Baby Jewel' ( Alta Brown, R. 1970). Seedling #D 782-16. MDB, height 4-5" (10-13 cm). Early bloom. Standards ivory white, light greenish midribs; falls white, well-defined maroon-violet spots; ivory white beards. 'Rosy Carpet' X 'Kip'. Brown's Iris Gardens 1971. Honorable Mention 1972.

From AIS Bulletin #201 April 1971 Introducing BABY JEWEL. 4". EE. Perfectly formed pumila of white with solid maroon-violet spot at the tip of the ivory white beard; falls are rounded and flaring. Color varies slightly, depending on the weather. No. 0782-16 (Rosy Carpet X Kip). $5.00. Brown's Iris Garden.
