'Lavender Dawn' (Walter Welch, R. 1953). Seedling #G-534. MDB, 5" (13 cm). Early bloom. Color Code-V1L. Lavender-violet self, including beard. 'Balkana' x I. mellita. Welch 1953.

From Walter Marx Gardens catalog 1962: LAVENDER DAWN (Welch 1953). Each .75; 3 for 1.50. Mr. Welch presents another color break in dwarfs. Lilac-lavender self with a lavender beard. 5 inches.
