'Little Joe' (Walter Welch, R. 1955). Seedling #H-565. DB, 6" (15 cm). Early bloom. Black-violet self; bronze beards. Seedling #H-512: (Cook seedling #1546 x 'Carpathia') X seedling #G-527: (('Sass Dark Ruby' x 'Purple Beauty') x 'Harbor Lights'). Welch 1956.

AIS Awards: Honorable Mention 1957.

Dwarf iris Society Awards: Award of Special Merit 1957; Blue Ribbon Award 1958.
