'Nana' (Robert Schreiner). Not Registered. MDB, 4" (10 cm). Early bloom. red-violet blend; darker spots on falls; bluish beards. A Crimean (Ukrainian) form of I. pumila from collected seed. Schreiner's 1942

NOTE: Not to be confused with 'Nana Alba' or 'Alba Nana'.

From the Introductory 1942 Schreiner's Iris Lover's Catalog: Very narrow grass-like foliage, flower claret, tiniest bearded iris we have seen. Sent to us from Russian Crimea (Ukraine).
From the 1958 Tell's Iris Gardens Catalog: Standards reddish-mulberry, fallsh blackish mulberry, pale blue beard.
