1964, Brown

'Orchid Elf' (Alta Brown, R. 1963). Seedling #D-195-3. MDB, 5" (13 cm). Very early bloom. Color Code-V1. Rosy orchid self, small plum purple spot; lavender beard. 'Cretica' X 'Sulina'. Brown's Iris 1964. Honorable Mention 1965.

From Brown’s Iris Garden catalog, 1964: ORCHID ELF (A. Brown '64) #D 195-3 Extra Early 4". (Cretica x Sulina). A dainty rosy-orchid pumila with deeper color around the lavender beard. Form is good with nicely flared falls. Makes a beautiful clump, loaded with flowers. Net $4.00
