1968, Sindt

'Sun Sparkle' (David Sindt, R. 1967). Seedling #D101. MDB, 4" (10 cm). Very early bloom. Color Code-Y1F. Bright full yellow self; self beard. 'Carpathia' X self. Riverdale 1968. Honorable Mention 1969; Caparne Award 1972.

From AIS Bulletin #189 April 1968 Introducing SUN SPARKLE. MDB. 4". (Sdlg. DI0l. Presumably CARPATHIA X self). Bright, clean yellow self with yellow beard. Much deeper yellow than any other pumila. Very tiny, well-formed flowers. Blooms for 'two weeks. $5.00. Riverdale Iris Gardens.
