'Karyu' (Hiroshi Shimizu by Carol Warner, R. 2010) SPEC-X (Pseudata) ; 22-27", Midseason late bloom. Standards light rose; wide deep red-purple styles; Falls cream with heavy rose wash, ruffled; large bright yellow signals surrounded by red eyelashes. 'Gubijin' X unknown (mixed JI pollen). Draycott 2010.

From Draycott Gardens catalog, 2016: KARYU (Hiroshi Shimizu, 2010) 22-27" ML. Large ruffled beauty with large bright-yellow signals surrounded by red eyelashes, further set off by wide deep red-purple styles. The name means “Fire-dragon”.
