'Regal Surprise' (Dr. J. R. Ellis, R. 1988) Sdlg. 83/50-1. LAEV, 30" (76 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards pale purple on white ground; cream styles; Falls mid to dark purple on white ground, yellow signal patch veined purple. I. pseudacorus X I. versicolor . British Iris Society 1990.
