*'Taremurasaki'* ([[Main.Bio.HybridizerShimizuHiroshi][Hiroshi Shimizu]] by Carol Warner, 2011) SPEC-X [[Main.InfoClassificationGardenGroupsPseudatas][(Pseudata)]]; 45-48", Midseason bloom. Pendant falls, light violet, with large bright yellow signal and dark purple eyelash. Standards very light violet. [[Spec.SpecGubijin]['Gubijin']] X unknown (mixed JI pollen). Draycott 2011.  &nbsp;Translation:&nbsp;Drooping purple.

|From Draycott Gardens catalog, 2016: TAREMURASAKI (Hiroshi Shimizu, 2011) 45-48" M. The flower has a form which is more desirable to theJapanese taste than to our American Iris Society judges. The proportion of the falls is a little long, making the flower have a “droopy” appearance, but to me the appearance is delicate. The plant is very vigorous and the stalk has three branches plus the terminal. As a landscape plant in an Oriental garden TAREMURASAKI will excel.The name means “Drooping Purple”. $10.00 |
