Velvet Pennant

'Velvet Pennant' (Jean Witt, R. 1977) Seedling 74-15-PC. CA-SIB, 18" (46 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards deep red-purple (Munsell 2.5); falls velvety deep red-purple, darker signal with golden lines, brownish hafts. Pink tenax #EC (seed collected from Lewis Co., WA) X I. chrysographes rubella. Witt 1978.
