From Draycott Gardens catalog, 2016: YORU NO AKARI (Hiroshi Shimizu, 2011) 38" M. This rose over a cream base is darker and shorter than “Yasha” and proved to be more striking in the garden. The stalk is also higher branched. I love how the color changes as the flower continues to open and expand. The deep wine eyelash pattern extends almost to the edge of the fall. The foliage on this plant has the deep purple base. The name means “Light of the Night Town”. |
