'Chartres' (Jim and Vicki Craig, R. 1997). Seedling #AH85A8. MTB, 25" (64 cm), Early bloom. Standards blue, darker midrib; style arms pale purple, darker midrib; falls deep lilac purple paler at edge, velvety finish; beards dark yellow, purple base at end; pronounced sweet fragrance. (('Payoff' x seedling #11R4, 'Reformation' sibling) x (('En Route' x 'Maroon Caper') x seedling #8L: ('Chapeau' x ('Sacred Mountain' x I. aphylla "Werckmeister")))) X 'Bouquet Magic'.
