'Desert Shield' (Terry Varner, R. 1990). Seedling #0-355. MTB, height 19" (48 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards golden yellow, lightly edged falls color; falls yellow ground overlaid velvety dark red; beards orange, slight fragrance. 'Consummation' X 'Marsh Marigold'. Ohio Gardens 1991
