From AIS Bulletin #197 April 1970 Introducing FLASHING BEACON. (Knight X Williamson 34#878). Sparkling variegata of red and amber-orange. No pollen, but pod fertile. $10.00. Dorothy Guild. |
From Dorothy Guild we have had a series of bright variegatas and plicatas with variegata influence. My favorite is FLASHING BEACON ('69), which is every bit as brilliant as its name implies-yellow-orange standards, falls well covered with red-violet, form and stem excellent.
