■(MTB) 'Gajus'

1906, Goos & Koonemann

'Gajus' ( Max Goos & August Koenemann, R. 1906). MTB, 20" (51 cm), Midseason bloom. Bright yellow with wine veining.

Note: Although registered as a TB, Gajus is considered by some an MTB and others an IB or BB. See Tb 'Gajus'.

From Wing Seed catalog, 1919: GAJUS — New. S. clear light yellow; F. carmine-violet with brownish cast netted on white; distinct border of dull pale yellow. Good form, falls drooping, all divisions short and broad. 35¢
From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: GAJUS: A.M., R.H.S.-Standards pale yellow, falls purple with distinct brown veining, a greatly improved Gracchus.
