1973, Welch 'Pale Amoena' (Walter Welch, R. 1972). Seedling #X-300. MTB, 17" (43 cm), Early bloom. Standards white; falls blue spot pattern, white border; yellow beard. Diploid blue X diploid recessive white. Riverdale Iris 1973. Honorable Mention 1974. See below:
