2010, Spence

'Northwest Sunset' (Patrick Spence, R. 2009). CA, 12" (30 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards lavender, faint purple veins; style arms lavender, purple midrib; falls lavender, faint purple rim, red brown veins, signal gold, heavily speckled red-brown. Parentage unknown. Cascadia 2010. Honorable Mention 2013; Award of Merit 2015.

Exposure Prefers full sun for optimal performance, may still bloom in half-day shade
Water: Prefers well drained but moist good garden soil, More tolerant of dry conditions in established plants, Needs swampy conditions especially in Spring bloom season.
PH Prefers Acid solis 6.1 to 7.0, intolerant of limy soils
Fertilizer tolerant of poor soils.
