*'Altus'* ([[Main.Bio.HybridizerDennisDorothy][Dorothy Dennis]], R. 1971). Seedling 6706., R. SDB, height 12" (30 cm), Midseason bloom. Deep reddish purple self; matching beard; some ruffling on falls. [[Sdb.SdbMarinka]['Marinka']] X seedling 6303 ( [[TbAthruE.TbEbonyEcho]['Ebony Echo']] x [[Spec.SpecPumila]['<i>I.</i><i>pumila'</i>]] seedling A-26-A). Keppel 1973. RTGA 1970, Honorable Mention 1975.

The harmonious dark beard is set on flared and lightly ruffled falls, the whole making a dark foil for the brighter colors. An uncommon shade among the standard dwarfs. $7.50. Keith Keppel. |
