'Baby Brown Eyes' (Darlene Pinegar, R. 1993). Seedling SSP-1-7. SDB, height 9" (23 cm), Early to midseason bloom. Standards yellowish brown, edged brown; style arms yellowish brown; Falls velvety rust red edged yellow brown, deep yellow hafts; beards dark orange, tipped yellow; ruffled, flared. 'Sunstrip' X unknown. Spanish Fork 1994.

From AIS Bulletin #293 April 1994 Introducing BABY BROWN EYES (Pinegar) SDB, 9", E-M. This caught my eye when it first bloomed because the coloring was a little different from others I'd seen. Yellowish brown S. edged brown. Yellowish brown styles. Flaring, lightly ruffled, velvety rust red F. edged yellow-brown. Deep yellow hafts. Dark orange beards tipped yellow. 2 buds. Pod fertile. Pollen not tested. Sunstrip X unknown. $10.00. Spanish Forks Iris Gardens.
