■(SDB) 'Banded Tiger'

2005, Schmieder

'Banded Tiger' (Barbara and David Schmieder, R. 2005). Seedling 97-AR-6. SDB, height 14" (36 cm). Midseason bloom. Standards pale yellow (RHS 11D) haze over white ground, medium purple (79B) plicata markings along rib and around edge; style arms dark purple (79A); falls white, several narrow broken dark purple (79A) bands radiating from beard becoming solid color near edge of upper half and continuing as lightly ruffled wire edge around lower half, light yellow (11B) underlies upper half; beards white tipped vivid orange-yellow (23A). 'Attention Getter' X 'Rebus'. Hermit Medlars Walk 2006. Honorable Mention 2008; Award of Merit 2011.
