Joseph Gatty, R. 1973). Seedling B-1-B., SDB, height 13" (33 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards red violet (near M&P 43-J-1 1); Falls red violet edge (near M&P 41-1-9), blending to dahlia purple (55-J-12) and cyclamen (47-6-9); blue beard tipped bronze.

From AIS Bulletin #213 April 1974 Introducing BEAU (Gatty) M, 13", Standard dwarf. Dainty Royal X Regards. Charming red-violet bitone. The standards are silky rosy violet, the falls are velvety cyclamen purple to dahlia purple with a narrow edging of the paler color of the standards. The blue beards are lightly tipped with bronze. Standards domed and touching, falls semi-flaring. One branch, three buds. Pod-fertile to a limited degree. EC '73. HC '73. $7.50. Keith Keppel. |
