From Aitken’s catalog, 2017: BENNETT'S LEGACY (SDB) (B. Jones ’17) SDB, 9” (22.9 cm) ML. Exceptionally brilliant color so early in springtime! This plant is a bit of a slow increaser that has been tucked away in our reselect field for several years. Starchy white closed standards with just a touch of light yellow at the tips of the petals sits atop intense yellow, flat, smooth falls. No sign of haft marks. As if that were not enough, the bushy beards are neon bright orange. There is a slight orange flash extending down the yellow falls from the beard tip as if it were an extension of the beard. This final reselect Bennett Jones seedling deserves its day in the sun. Sdlg # BJ758-16B (unknown parentage) SKU: 17sdb103. $18.00.
