'Birthmark' ( Keith Keppel, R. 2010) Seedling 02-15A. SDB, 11" (28 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards and style arms safrano pink (M&P 1-B-9); Falls same, grape juice (44-L-10) webbed spot on upper petal only; beards toasted tomato (3-G-12) in throat, etruscan red (4-G-11) in middle, blue white at end (( 'Music' x 'Stormy Circle') X 'Witch's Toes'). Keppel 2011. Honorable Mention 2013.

From Keith Keppel Iris catalog, 2011: BIRTHMARK EM 11" ((Music x Stormy Circle) X Witch's Toes). Flared and nicely ruffled safrano pink, with a grape juice webbed spot marking the upper fall only. Beards toasted tomato red in the heart, paling and becoming blue white at the end. Two or three buds per stem. Distinctively different. #02-15A. $15.00; 3 for $35.00.
