'Candy Apple' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1972). Seedling M67-1-5. SDB, 12" (30 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards red purple (RHS 71A); falls same with grayed purple (187B) overlay; violet beard. 'Regards' X 'Cherry Garden'. Mission Bell 1972. High Commendation 1971; Honorable Mention 1973; Judge's Choice 1973; Judges Choice, 1974 Award of Merit 1975.
