1989, Nichols 'Dusky Thief' (Hooker Nichols, R. 1988). Seedling 8502C. SDB, Height 12" (30 cm), Early bloom. Standards violet blue; Falls slightly darker, solid indigo halo; yellow blue beard. 'Royal Carnival' X ( 'Captured Spirit' sibling x ('Amazon Princess' x 'Meadow Moss')). Hillcrest Iris 1989. Honorable Mention 1991. See below:
