1978, Palmer 'Gay Comedian' (Cleo Palmer, R. 1977). Seedling 7505. SDB, 11" (28 cm), Early bloom. Standards violet with paler edges; Falls violet with dark red-violet spot and haft; bronze beard tipped blue. Unknown parentage. Palmer, Riverdale Iris 1978. See below:

Moderately wide, oval falls, which are almost horizontally flared and lightly ruffled. Parentage unknown but appears to be from Puppet. $7.50. Palmmer's Iris Garden. |
