Standards medium peach-orange, brown plicata marks inside base; style arms medium peach-orange crest, peach pink edge, light peach sides; falls haft light butter-yellow, lined and dotted plum brown, rest of petal warm white, washed pale-peach becoming darker toward edges; beards tangerine; slight spicy fragrance. From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2011: INTO THE SUNSET (Black ‘11) SDB Midseason-Late 12” (30 cm). Into the Sunset echoes the luminous, fiery array of colors in the best sunsets. Standards are intense mid peachy tangerine with styles slightly darker. Pale creamy orange falls have narrow peach bands. Brown lines and dashes over soft yellow to peach hafts show the plicata heritage. Zingy tangerine beards draw your attention just before the sun drops out of sight.
