Standards and falls (RHS 79A), dark purple; but falls densely veined with fine almost black veins giving the impression of a very dark purple and the surface of the falls catches the sunlight with a green iridescence that magnifies the black red purple effect; falls tucked; standards arching; beard narrow with long but sparse blue violet hairs hafts with white lines between dark brown purple veins; (Labeled Iris aphylla X 'Balkana').
