'Julie Kay' (Robert Jeffries, R. 1975). Seedling# J69-D9-A. SDB, 12" (30 cm), Early midseason bloom. Standards canary yellow (Wilson 2/3); falls canary yellow (2/2); beard orange deep in throat, tipped bright blue; ruffled. Seedling# J67-D2: (('Easter Holiday' x 'Wilma V') x 'Grace Note') X seedling# J67-D20: (('Brownie' x 'Easter Holiday') x ('Easter Holiday' x 'Wilma V')). Kansas Rainbow 1975.

From AIS Bulletin #217 April 1975 Introducing JULIE KAY. '75. E-M, SDB, 11". No. J69-D9-A. $ 5.00. Yellow bitone. S. canary yellow (Wilson 2/3); F. (Wilson 2/2) with a very, very wide violet beard. Attractive ruffled form that takes wind and rain. Choice in this limited color class. Involved breeding with Grace Note, Easter Holiday, Wilma V and Brownie. Kansas Rainbow Gardens.
