1983, Machulak 'Maya Major' (Audrey Machulak, R. 1983). Seedling# 79-25-97. SDB, 10" (25 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards smoky violet at base to pale khaki at edge; falls lobelia violet thumbprint, flushed khaki at edge; beard gold in throat, tipped violet; slight sweet fragrance. 'Blue Pools' X 'Truce'. Riverdale Iris 1983. High Commendation 1982. See below:

F. lobelia violet with edges lightly brushed pale khaki. As gold braid enhances his uniform, this flower is embellished with rich golden beards.
